pass away/on -> die

pass by ->go past, pay no attention; ignore

pass down ->pass sth from one generation to the next

pass for ->be taken for, be accepted as sb/sth

pass off (as) -> take place and be completed, represent falsely as, come to an end gradually

pass on ->proceed/move on

pass out-> lose consciousness, faint

pass over ->not consider sb for promotion

pass up ->refuse to accept

 

PAY

pay back ->pay in return, retaliate, take revenge on

pay for -> be punished for

pay in (to) ->put money into account

pay off ->settle a debt, be profitable, pay the wages to sb and dismiss him

pay out -> make a large payment for sth

pay up ->pay in full money which is owed

pull down ->demolish an old building

pull in-> (to) enter a station (train)

pull off ->leave the road and park (vehicle)
