camping

You want to attend a summer Music Camp… Ask for more information.

I recently saw the Summer Music Camp advertised in our local newspaper. I am interested in
attending the camp and wonder whether you could answer a few questions for me.
First of all, I would appreciate more specific information about the camp and its facilities.
Could you tell me the exact location
of the camp? In addition, I would be interested to know, how many students sleep in each room.
It would also be helpful to receive more details about the camp's study program.
As I have never learned to play a musical instrument, I would like to know whether your camp
offers courses for beginners. Furthermore, your advertisement mentions concerts.
I wonder if you could tell me how many concerts we will attend.
Finally, I would appreciate more details about the dates and cost of the camp.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

fire

A Frightening Experience

It was the most frightening day of my life. It all began on an ordinary Saturday evening. My parents were
going out and I had to stay at home to look after my younger sister, Helen.
At first, everything went smoothly. Helen wanted to watch television and I went upstairs to my room
to do some homework.
I had been working for about an hour when I smelled something strange. I decided to go and see.
The moment I opened my bedroom door I was surrounded by smoke. Amazingly, I didn't panic.
First, I grabbed my mobile phone. Then I woke my sister who was sleeping on the sofa in the living room.
I quickly got her out of the house. Finally, I called the fire brigade and my parents.
By the time my parents came home, the fire had been put out. According to the firemen, it had been caused
by an electrical fault in one of the bedroom heaters. Luckily, no one was hurt and there wasn't much damage.
My parents were proud of me for behaving so responsibly. But I have never been so scared in my whole life.
